The "Ex Oriente lux" seminar has been running since January 2025 and brings together researchers working in the fields of anthropology, archeology, history, cultural studies and related disciplines interested in studying the cultural heritage, social dynamics and historical context of the eastern regions. The seminar provides a platform for discussing topical issues related to anthropological and archaeological research, as well as allow participants to exchange knowledge and experience, since it is not limited to disciplinary and country-specific frameworks. Speakers and listeners include not only employees of the Department of Anthropology of East of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, but also colleagues from other specialized, educational and research institutions.
